I take responsibility for every decision I make
When you vote for me, you vote for responsible decision making. I am a City Councillor for the National Coalition Party and a member of the Education Committee, with ten years of experience and the trust of over 5,000 votes.
I am mother of two from Laajasalo. Expert in business and education
I hold a Master’s degree in Public Administration with MBA in leadership and vocational teachers qualification. I have been an entrepreneur since 2006 and currently work as a Head of Development at a communications agency, with over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. I serve on several boards, including Helsingin Yrittäjät Itä-Helsinki.
Results have already been achieved, and the work continues
For me, politics is not just talk, but action. Your vote has already had influence through my previous work in the Helsinki City Council (Blog about job done here in Finnish). The work for a better Helsinki continues – for the future of our children.
Key themes for the Municipal Elections:
1. Quality in daycare and schools – accessible and close to home

DAYCARE AND SCHOOLS
”We secure the future of our children”
I work long-term in the Education Committee to ensure that every school and daycare in Helsinki maintains the same high standard – from primary school to high school and vocational education. Parents and teachers must be heard – also in English – to ensure that schools function effectively and provide a safe learning environment. I also consider the needs of children living in two homes and those from single-parent families.
- More adults in schools and daycare centers. Every child deserves security and time to be heard.
- Freedom of choice in early childhood education. Parents should have the right to choose between municipal and private daycare or family daycare.
- Stronger resources for schools. Challenges related to segregation and inclusion require more support staff and special education. Bullying and violence must be prevented!
- More study places and better opportunities for further education. Helsinki needs more pathways to higher education. Research and development happen in our schools and universities.
2. Helsinki where work and entrepreneurship are rewarded

WORK AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
”A strong business sector is the foundation for sustainable growth”
As an entrepreneur I know that businesses create prosperity. The majority of new jobs are generated by small and medium-sized enterprises. When working and running a business is worthwhile, we can also take care of those who need support. A vibrant city economy is built on services provided by businesses of all sizes. Healthy competition improves service availability, raises quality, and lowers prices. It is important to focus on ensuring that immigrants living in Helsinki find a job.
- Allow private actors to contribute more to public services. Procurement criteria must be revised to enable more businesses to participate in tenders.
- Lower municipal taxation – more money in people’s pockets. Hard work should be rewarded. Increased purchasing power strengthens Helsinki’s economy.
- The city must become a facilitator for businesses. Economic and traffic policies must be more entrepreneur-friendly. Unnecessary bureaucracy must be eliminated, and permit processes must be streamlined.
- Make hiring easier. We must identify the key challenges in labor market matching and find new ways to help more Helsinki residents into work.
3. Nature, smooth traffic and accessible healthcare

NATURE, TRAFFIC AND SERVICES
”It’s time for responsible change!”
We must respect our local nature and develop Helsinki in a sustainable and well-planned manner. Current policies replace forests with concrete and roads with oversized bike lanes and railways. Traffic must flow smoothly both in the city center and in the suburbs – including for cars.
Helsinki’s urban planning can no longer be dictated by a one-sided ideology. We must also improve access to healthcare. Every person should receive care immediately when needed. As a mother, I see wellbeing as ensuring that everyday life runs smoothly.
- Protect local forests and green areas. Nature is Helsinki’s strength – it should not be sacrificed for poorly thought-out construction projects.
- Improve public bus transport and make car travel smoother. Cars also belong in Helsinki. We need more park-and-ride facilities and faster road projects.
- Ensure timely healthcare access. Service vouchers should be used more to make sure public healthcare operates as efficiently as private healthcare.
- Support emission-free transportation and electric vehicle expansion. Housing associations must receive support for installing charging stations.
The work for a better Helsinki continues.
